I have a skin condition called keloid skin, which causes even small wounds to develop into raised, growing scars. Because of this, I’ve never been able to get my ears pierced. Although clip-on earrings have always been around, anyone who’s tried them knows how uncomfortable—and sometimes even painful—they can be. So for a very long time, earrings simply weren’t a part of my life.

That changed when I discovered a way to make clip-ons using a special material-lightweight, flexible, and comfortable to wear. I made my very first pair of shiny stud earrings—the exact kind I’d always dreamed of. The day I wore them for the first time, I was overjoyed. There was no pain, just a quiet happiness seeing something I’d always wanted finally on my ears. Since then, I’ve started selling my earrings through my little shop. And through this blog, I look forward to sharing more stories about myself and my jewelry.
